Journey into the Haunted Mansion is the story of Amelia and her three friends, who embark on an adventure to find a treasured family heirloom: Amelia’s grandmother’s locket. As they explore the mansion, the friends discover it’s filled with trapped, lost souls. After following a series of ghostly clues, they climb through a hatch into the attic and finally find the trinket. Just as Amelia reaches for it, spirits surround them, begging for release. The friends perform a magical ritual that appears to free the ghosts as their figures slowly fade away. They leave the house and walk down the garden path, relieved to have escaped safely with the locket. When they reach the gates, a great force grabs their legs. Before they realize what’s happening, they’re dragged back into the mansion – down into the deep, forgotten dungeons. No one ever saw them again.
Joachim Simoens (1996 – Present) is a Belgian composer, arranger, and musician whose works showcase remarkable versatility and creativity. With works such as Diabolic Angel, A Historical Fantasy, and Jingle Jazzy Bells, Joachim has demonstrated a flair for blending diverse musical styles and genres, captivating audiences and musicians alike. Joachim pursued studies in IT while maintaining an active passion for music from a young age. An accomplished amateur percussionist, he is well-regarded throughout the West and East Flanders regions for his performances and contribuons to local ensembles. His musical journey expanded beyond percussion when he graduated as a conductor from “De Kunstbrug” in Gentbrugge. This milestone marked the beginning of his flourishing career as a composer. Simoens’ compositions are distinguished by their focus on playability and musical enjoyment. His works challenge musicians of all levels, offering rewarding experiences that emphasize both technical skill and expressive performance. With his unique style and dedication to the craft, Joachim Simoens continues to leave a lasting impact on the HaFaBra repertoire, inspiring performers and audiences across Belgium and beyond.
